‘Electrifying Transparency: The Role of Open Communication in Board Meetings’ considers the board of Tri-County Electric in South Carolina and measures taken to guarantee better transparency and corporate governance. The case invites students to discuss the implications of this lack of transparency and the legislative measures that became necessary as a result.
Dr Leasum Orwig is an Associate Professor in the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, teaching courses in business writing, business presentations, and technology for business; as well as an MBA-level course in communication.
Her research focuses on case studies surrounding professional genres in the workplace.
